Fear of Food Tampering Intensifies As More Deadly Food Found

BREAKING Reports have now come in from every continent of the intentional poisoning of food supplies. No groups have yet taken credit for the attacks, but officials from the European Justice Ministry tell BBN that the poisonings do appear to be coordinated.

With global food supplies at a fifty-year low, and with fear of worldwide famine heightened by the recent GEAS Human Extinction report, the impact of even a small number of food tampering incidents may unleash a wave of violence and unrest.

According the European Justice Ministry official, who asked to speak anonymously, the poisonings all use an identical compound, one that does not readily show up in the taste or smell of the poisoned food. Although a small amount can be essentially harmless, an accumulation of this poison -- which the official refused to identify -- can cause irreversible neurological damage, including dementia.
