Hello superstructers! I'm Justin, and I'm one of the guide-slash-cheerleaders for the Outlaw Planet superthreat. I'm currently based somewhere in the yellowy haze of the UK's largest city, where I strive to split my time equally between the city's corridors of learning and my reporter's netbook. Having just landed my first teaching position for the best part of a decade, the corridors seem to be winning! And if you just can't go on without finding out more about me, why not check out my survival profile?
Initially, it was one of my students who alerted me to Superstruct. Having followed some of the initial reactions to the WorldRun report, I was reassured to find that GEAS hadn't simply decided to cut and run, but were working with the Superstruct project. In the immediate aftermath of the report, the easiest and most obvious solutions aren't necessarily the best. With twenty-three years left, we need creative and radical ideas with which to tackle the five superthreats. And that's where you guys come in - we need you to tell us how things are looking where you are; show us things we're not in a position to see; and prototype "crazy", "mad", and left-field ideas ... ideas that wouldn't otherwise be given the time of day.
We're here, and we're ready to listen to your stories & solutions. So start sharing!

Hi. This is phil jones. If you saw the recent GEAS report, you'll know that the world is getting ... how shall I put it? ... "interesting".

This time it's serious. We really *do* have to do something to take action. I haven't been online much recently, but I realize that if ever there was a need to get back into the fray and start trying to put the net to good use, organizing and coordinating people, now is the time.

The GEAS community seem to be pretty well organized. (WorldRun looks particularly smart.) And their "Superstruct" project to pull together lots of ad hoc / spontaneous groups to solve problems is definitely something I want to explore.

Because of some of the stuff that's happened to me recently, I'm particularly obsessed with their Outlaw Planet threat, so I've volunteered to help out with the team who are focusing on that. (Not that the other threats aren't equally worrying.) You can find out more about me by checking out my SEHI profile. I'm going to be gathering and sifting through as many good ideas in this area as possible. Start adding yours to the site and I should notice them.
