  • Mission

    To create a training program that teaches people to be life skills and civil skills that can be used in times of civil crisis. Imagine if you will a community Red cross/civil servant or community guard as well as a national guard. All citizens are members and in a state of emergency citizens are call on to fill roles that supersede there normal jobs. By the end of high school, graduates would have training similar to nation guard and Red Cross training.

     

    This would not only aid in time of crisis but build a stronger community. Awareness of local and global issues would increase. If you know how hard it is to get water from when you are young you will realize what it means to waste that water. If you have trained with a classmate and know that in a crisis he or she may be the EMT, fire fighter, or the person who digs your family out of a ruined building it will create a team mind set that will span the community.

     

    An apprenticeship program will be created for civil training where after high school students must spend some many hours in community service learning a civil servant position. This could be any current local, state or federal entry level job. This includes the Military and all its branches as well as U.N. service. Time will be allotted in the year for retraining and skills update training.

     

     

    Training: on an individual level first and then as you learn your training scope becomes larger.

     

    Training starts with basic skills. Skills like field craft, first aid, land and sea navigation, basic cooking, sewing and any basic skill that a person can use to take care of themselves. I used a Boy Scout manual and an Army basic skill manual as my basis for training. These skills are time proven for teaching confidence and strength of character.

     

    Once this ground work has been established skill are built upon focusing on a family level. Skills such as household management, financial management, meal planning, home repair, garden planning, and any skill an adult could use in daily life.

     

    From here training moves to a community level and becomes more specialized. This is where the Red Cross and National Guard type training start.

     

    What this will create is people that are personal aware of the world that they life in not just there paycheck and what is on TV.
