    When you join, could you please post one example of something that has happened in your life when you made a decision and it's effects on yourself and others. Please be honest. You need not name any personal details you do not feel comfortable revealing, only the action, it's consequences and the relationships of the people involved need be included.

  • What we can accomplish

    • Imagine you are faced with a difficult decision. Often the most difficult part is that you feel that you are alone in this matter. Talking to friends often helps, as some will even have been faced with the same sort of decision in the past and can offer you advice based on their experiences. Imagine that, but times a billion, possibly even 6 if everyone contributes.

      Imagine being faced with a difficult decision and checking a Stigmorality site or network and seeing millions of people who have gone through the same thing as you. Imagine their responses to the situation visualised and organised branching off and leading to consequences. Imagine being able to make a desicion armed with the knowledge of what that decision has led to for millions of others in the past.

      This is what Stigmergetic Morality could do. It could allow us as a species to learn from each other in a way that hasn't been possible before this technological age.

  • How this superstruct works
    • All we need to do is to share our life experience. That is all that is required initially. If you have a story to tell, tell it and allow others to learn from it. Whatever the outcome, whether or not you feel you made the right choice or not, the point is to inform, not enforce.

      I decided to drop out of University - this initially confused and hurt my family, led me to a dry career path but also helped develop my self confidence as I had to move forward in the world independantly.

      I didn't drop out of university when I probably should have.  I had honestly finished learning what I wanted to learn from my degree by the end of my second year, but at 19 years old I was too afraid of disappointing my family and probably also taking that much responsibility to take the plunge.  It wasn't a disastrous decision for me, but one way or another that final year was the hardest year of my life to date, and for me personally the braver decision would have been to quit and spend the year progressing with my dreams.

      I put very little effort into 6th form college as I realised what I wanted to do with my life after I had chosen my subjects. I didn't drop out but I didn't turn up to quite a few lessons. After I left I had to work very hard for 2 years in order to get the experience I needed to get into the university that would help my career. I managed it and I'm now doing what I want.
