Location Set for Historic "Promised Land" Meetup of Nomads in November

Burning Man organizers pick Utah state park as meeting location

Organizers of the Burning Man festival have announced that the proposed meetup of nomadic and displaced peoples from across North America, which has been come to be known as "The Promised Land", will take place at Dead Horse Point State Park in South-Eastern Utah on November 12, 2019.

Last week, we reported that the Burning Man organization was taking on the challenge of creating a semi-permanent home for the thousands of displaced peoples who have become so common across the country. It is rumoured that the underground communications network The New Pony Express will be tapped to contact the various nomadic groups and the Democratic Central African Republic will be providing thousands of HexaYurt portable shelters.

According to a source who asked not to be named, the meetup location will not be the final home of The Promised Land city - just a jumping off point. For the time being, organizers want to keep the final location a secret known only to prospective residents. Those arriving on site will be provided with an encrypted identification and final instructions, once they can prove refugee status.

Organizers have set up a website where interested parties can gather to share information.
